Went with my old friend who really liked this place for chicken chettinad.Really some thing is not right the amazing host was not there,dishes were way sweet and full of grease.The waiter never came back to check only after i flagged him, he refilled my water(i can smell the smoke).While leaving i asked about the amazing host,the lady replied he is selling off the place so he rarely comes.

I heard rumors of Kalvas Restaurant all around Parksville, BC and I thought since I had a craving for seafood I thought this could be a nice dinner. I entered the room thinking maybe I should change my mind. But then i was soon seated at my table in just a small amount of time. They offered me bread and a beverage. I hadn't even had my food yet and I still think this place was amazing. I ordered the crab. After one bite I thought this was a little taste of heaven. The atmosphere of the room was amazing. Went to this place the other night. Was not as good as I had heard. There were some basic issues
a) The resturant was not busy and still our server took a long time to get to us.
b) The food was, at best, sub par. We have had better food at a lot of Indian restaurants like Salam Bombay.
c) The spice level was way off
Thankfully the restaurant is not as expensive.

I love Pluto's. They have lots of wonderful food items, and the best fries. The chicken club wrap is one of my faves. This place has been around forever, and is a valuable part of the community. In fact, I'm craving me some Pluto's right now.

My experience is... that everytime I go to your restaurant and i ask for ALL the veggies on my sub i get just mushrooms and tomatoes, I know their is lettuce, onions and I'm sure more veggies that are there to put on, why do I have to explain ALL veggies everytime I go without the attitude from the employee? Anyways I just got the worst sub ever, guess its back to subway for me, because then at least they listen and I can see what they are doing.

Mars is my regular sushi place!
Owner/Chef is a friendly guy. Sushi always taste fresh, other food is just as great, nice presentation. Price is right for the quality of the food!

I've been to Pluto's a number of times. The service is never good, though it is sometimes average. It takes far too long to fill a simple order on a slow night. The only thing barely worth eating there is the all-you-can-eat fish and chips or the all-you-can-eat tacos, available on wednesdays and mondays, respectively. Those two dishes are merely average, but at least you don't leave still hungry. I had a hamburger there once; it wasn't bad but the fries were terrible. I would expect an establishment that looks like a 50's/60's burger restaurant to at least field a good burger and fries ...

too expensive for cod and chips (2 pieces of cod nearly $16.00) - much more than I have paid on the Mainland! Also, the place smelled very unpleasant and needs a good cleaning!! Staff are pleasant and friendly - I am surprised, though, that it is so popular as it has such an unpleasant smell. The batter was good and the pieces of fish were of a generous size but the fish was mushy.

Went with the wife and 3 kids last night for Dine Out Whitler. Had a GREAT meal, both wife and I had Caesar's Salad, Steak and a Desert ($39 each) and the kids got Hy's Chicken Fingers and Fries.... Total bill, with soft drinks was south of $150... not bad for a first class steakhouse!

I live in sooke, yesterday i stopped in colwood and bought a 40 timbit pack to discover that i only received 27 and the glazed ones were raw on the inside I have been in this branch before and noticed that the prep area is not as clean as it could be.

My wife, daughter and I went fro dinner and ordered two kids meals, the AAA Steak and a seafood dish.
Verdict: Overpriced disgusting steak and portions typical of a starter size. My steak was full of fat and the veggies were undercooked. Do not eat here!!
