"$3 Burger Mondays" Pump House Pub
| Close | More Info |
The Monday $3 burger is awesome! It comes with tomatoe, lettuce and onion. sauces of your choice. Cheese / bacon and mushroom optional, additional $0.50 each. It was afternoon in the dining room. Noise from TV's / customers is loud that I had to raise my voice when talking to my friend. Patio is available and probably quieter. UFC pay per view shows at this Pub. There are also pool tables. I would definitely go back for another burger, it is the most tasty burger I've ever had and hey, for $3? That is a hot deal. :)

"Very interesting hidden little gem on Cambie Village Area" Sate Satu Modern Indonesian Cuisine
| Close | More Info |
We found ourselves in this little hidden gem, after searching for something very different to try after the movie on Cambie Village Area in Vancouver. Dinner service was very pleasant, and the meal itself was very unique in its own taste of Indonesian food. Started with the Gado-Gado Salad accompanied by their 'home-made' peanut sauce - yummy, assorted Sate's, Rendang - heavenly, Curry Vegetables, Ikan Bali (very nice tamarind sauce base fish), and topping of with their special Advocado Dessert. Oh yes, this little restaurant also carries special local micro breweries beers too - this is a ...

"good humble food" Kerkis Greek Taverna
| Close | More Info |
This is my favourite Greek Restaurant in Kitsilano. You will often find the whole family working together: the daughter serves, the grandma rolls the napkins, the mother talks to her guests, and couple of times the teenage son opened the door to the parking garage for us. The food is exceptional and consistent. They have the best roast lamb, calamari skaras, and roast potatoes. But being a small family restaurant I recommend going here on their slow nights (Monday-Thursday).I find that on busy nights the two servers they have working the floor are overwhelmed and cannot keep up.

"Sunday buffet" Abc Country Restaurant
| Close | More Info |
The restaurant in Abbottsford we visited today (2008 7 20)was experiencing a half-hour wait time which is probably not unusual for Sunday lunch. Gave us time to visit with our co-patrons. I had heard they served Mennonite food. The farmers' sauasage was OK. However, the objects that looked like verenike turned out to be cheese and potato-filled perogies, no cottage cheese. They were OK, a little dry as far as the gravy/cream and shortage of sour cream was concerned. The dessert that looked temptingly like maybe at least a whipped cheesecake had marshmallows in it, that weren't even all blended ...

"Not the same anymore" Ruby Lake Resort
| Close | More Info |
Years ago this was an excellent restaurant. We just visited there again in July 2008 and were disappointed. Prices are very high but the quality of the food is much lower than it once was. The Italian owners do not seem to take the same pride and care they used to, but appear to be capitalising on the success they generated with the initial offering of a high quality italian restaurant in the pristine wilderness by Ruby Lake. Dessert menu consists of generic Mario's gelato. We ordered some plain vanilla ice cream which was inedible. What a disappointment.

Good place to talk, but the service are bad. Those waitors can't even speak english. The only thing worth going is the food. It is very traditional chinese.

"dissapointed" Cactus Club Cafe
| Close | More Info |
My daughter-in-law purchased two $5o gift certificates for us on April 26. We used them in June. When we presented them to the waitress we were told that they were only $25 each. We then spoke to Graham Edgar one of the managers. He took our name and phone # and he would get back to us, he never did. My daughter-in-law paid cash so there is no way we can prove it. We are very dissapointed in cactus club and Mr. Edgar. Shame on you.

So me and a friend were looking for a local pub/bar in the vancouver area... We came across 'The Pound' and guess what, it had a parking lot! We didnt see a whole lot of that around. The drinks were delicious, the wings (garlic honey) AMAZING! I Suggest you try it out...... You will not be dissapointed. Oh, and the staff, they were pretty much the most accomodating people Ive ever met, well in a bar at least...

"Great Hainanese Chicken" Prata-Man
| Close | More Info |
I've always wanted to go back to this restaurant ever since a friend introduced me to it 4 years ago when I just arrived in Vancouver. They've been there for ages apparently. They boast the best Hainanese Chicken, which I totally agree. Great taste, great portion, and fantastic price. It's actually cheaper than all the western fast food and more healthy!!! The service is great! Very friendly boss/husband and waitress/wife and friend. Once again, I highly recommend this place but do bring CASH!!! CASH ONLY!!!

"Not so good" Bistrot Bistro

"Expensive, overwrought food in a windowless room" Fuel Restaurant Inc
| Close | More Info |
If you come to Fuel, kitchenside is best as the kitchen is in the front of the house. But, if you want table dining, you're relegated to the weirdly lit backroom. Food is expensive for what you get. It is okay but is it memorable? Is there a Fuel style? Not.

"good food but !!!!" O'Hare's Pub
| Close | More Info |
This pub allows there customers to get very intoxicated only to allow them to leave without taking there keys away. The waitresses hide it well from the owners because they have become good frineds with the patrons .There are a few loud and anoying customers who are regulers and are aloud to do as they please.Other than that the food is great and it is a good place to enjoy a pint or two.
