Enjoyable Evening Overall Food Value Service Atmosphere For a change of pace we headed to Hy's Steakhouse on a Saturday night, instead of one of the new 'cool' places. It was a great decision... The atmosphere is much calmer, with no loud music, lending itself to great table conversation with close friends. The food is very static, but that is good as you know what to expect EVERY time. I had the shishkabob for a change, instead of my normal order of filet mignon, and it was good. It had Hy's special tangy sauce on it... yummy! Wifey had the onion soup and a bone-in ribeye. GREAT RESTAURANT - GREAT FOOD - THIS FLORIDA COUPLE LOVED IT! Overall Food Value Service Atmosphere WOW! My wife, twin brother and our wives had a wonderful dinner last week. When I asked our concierge at the hotel, he recommended Hy’s and a couple of other places. From the bottles of wine, appetizers, main entrees, desserts, and after dinner drinks/coffee, we thou roughly enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter was Blair who was a true professional! The food was great, atmosphere was even better. We'll definitely be back on our next trip! Thanks so much! Traditional Steakhouse Overall Food Value Service Atmosphere Hy's Steakhouse is about what you'd expect from a steakhouse - although it is quite a bit darker from most restaurants in general, which can add to the atmosphere and I liked the dimness. I was in whistler on business a few weeks ago and stopped into Hy's Steakhouse knowing if I'm in Whistler I will most likely get myself a pretty good steak at just about any restaurant in the village, I was not disappointed with Hy's. I ordered the New York Strip which came perfectly cooked and ordered some really tasty sauteed mushrooms on the side. For dessert a creme brulee which was also one of the better that I've had. This is definitely a restaurant on par with some of the best that I've been to around the world, and their meet dishes all seem to be made with excellence.
