Very Nice Family Experience Overall Food Value Service Atmosphere Went with the wife and 3 kids last night for Dine Out Whitler. Had a GREAT meal, both wife and I had Caesar's Salad, Steak and a Desert ($39 each) and the kids got Hy's Chicken Fingers and Fries.... Not bad... Overall Food Value Service Atmosphere I was there with a group last weekend and our evening was alright; it didn't knock our socks off, it was just not bad. I started with the oysters, which were better than expected, but the mains were not as good as they should be especially for the price you're paying. I got the recommended New York strip, which I ordered medium rare and came more medium well and my colleagues had pretty much the same thing. Service was decent but I can't rave about it. For a restaurant in a world class resort like Whistler, I was expecting more and maybe that was the problem. Stuffy New Years' - but good food! Overall Food Value Service Atmosphere Went to Hy's at Whistler for New Year's eve. It was only ok... the menu was set, and although I got to have the famous garlic cheesy bread (yummy), I didn't get the entire menu choice thereafter. It also seemed overpriced, even for Hy's, which is usually not cheap. All in all an 'ok' night, with no real excitement. New Year's came and went, I kissed my girlfriend, and then we all left. Not a party atmosphere at all. In retrospect, I am not sure why I would have thought any differently.
